How to Get to Los Roques
The fastest and most convenient way is by flying from Simón Bolívar National Airport in La Guaira, just 30 minutes from Caracas. If you're coming from abroad, you'll land at Simón Bolívar International Airport and easily connect to the national terminal for your flight to Los Roques. While there are maritime options, flying is the most recommended to make the most of your time in the archipelago.

Transportation Within the Archipelago
Gran Roque is the main island, where the airport and most accommodations are located. You can walk around and enjoy it peacefully, but the real adventure lies in exploring the more than 200 nearby cays. When to Visit Los Roques
The best time to visit is between December and May, when the weather is more stable and rainfall is minimal. For kitesurf lovers, the months from January to June are ideal thanks to constant winds, peaking in January, February, and March.

Entrance Fees and Taxes
Upon arrival, you must pay the entrance fee to Los Roques Archipelago National Park, which varies depending on nationality and age. Payment can be made by card, cash in US dollars or bolívares, and other electronic methods. You’ll also receive a wristband that you must keep throughout your stay.
When leaving, you may have to pay a departure tax at the airport, which some airlines include in the ticket price, but it’s always best to confirm in advance.
